The OverWrite MO enables the similtaneous erasing and writing of data, whereas conventional MO requires 2 passes to do so. Light-weight Aluminium-Magnesium alloy is employed for the shutter, to give high rigidity and low friction. Newly developed protective coating prevents unwanted data losses from dust, dirt, and other extreme conditions. Reliable over I million write cycles / 10 million read cycles. Ideal for applications such as DTP and CAD/CAM which write large files frequently.
